Weekly Vigil Until they #CloseTheCamps
Together with our friends from the Syracuse Immigrant and Refugee Defense Network, we’ll be outside Rep. Katko’s office in Syracuse every Tuesday at noon until they close the concentration camps at the southern border. More details here.
Meeting with Bill Magnarelli
SLAT has set up a meeting with Bill Magnarelli and is looking for a couple of additional constituents to attend. 11am at State Office Building. Please email Ruth rckutz@gmail.com if interested in attending.

Support Countywide STEAM School
Call Assembly member Bill Magnarelli (315-428-9651) today to thank him for his support of creating a countywide STEAM school in Syracuse (emphasizing Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) and ask him when he expects the Governor to sign this bill. *A07914/S5946). More information here

Wed., Sept 18: Congressional Democratic Candidates Forum for NY-24, Young Sommer Winery, 4287 Jersey Road, Williamson, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.
Sat., Sept 21: Rethink Poverty: Our friends at All Saints and ACTS are hosting a poverty simulation designed to teach empathy and promote local anti-poverty activism. 9:30-12:30 at Bishop Harrison Center. Registration info here.
Sun., Sept. 22: Westcott Street Cultural Fair. State Sen. Rachel May will be marching, CNY Solidarity will be tabling, lots of great food and music, and more. 12-6:30pm on Westcott St in Syracuse.
Mon., Sept. 23: “Making Sense of the Mueller Report.” Once again our own Tom Keck will provide an overview of the Mueller Report, with time for Q&A, at Tully Public Library 6-7:30 pm. More details here.

Fri, Oct 11: Voter registration deadline for 2019 general election
Fri, Oct 11: Indivisible co-founder Ezra Levin will be delivering a lecture at SU’s Maxwell School in conjunction with his new book, co-authored with Leah Greenberg, on the Indivisible movement. Main lecture will likely be 4pm, but there may be other events as well. More details as we have them.
