Let us continue our support for protesters for police reform such as Last Chance for Change, which is on its 16th day of a 40-day commitment to march for the cause. They meet most every day at 2:00 at Institute of Technology near Adams and South State Streets (sometimes at other locations), and typically march by 3:00.
The other priority is GOTV for the June 23 primary. Absentee ballots are still available if are postmarked by end-of-business Tuesday June 16. Absentee ballots are available for pick-up at the Board of Elections, 1000 Erie Blvd West, Syracuse 13204. In-person early voting continues all week! Sign up to phone bank for Dana Balter. Volunteer Remotely with the Dana Balter Campaign
With absentee ballots out for many voters and early in-person voting starting this past weekend, now is a crucial time for direct voter outreach, principally by phone given our current situation. Click here to sign up for a volunteer shift with the Dana Balter campaign.

Postmark deadline for absentee ballot applications for June 23 primary election.
All registered Democrats in Onondaga County should have received an application in the mail. If you did not receive one, contact your county election board. Per Gov. Cuomo’s executive order, all registered voters are eligible to vote absentee in this election. Just select “temporary illness” as the reason you’re unable to vote in person (this is authorized due to COVID-19, whether or not you’re sick yourself), and follow the instructions for submitting the application by today.

Mon., Jun 22: 1:00 pm Syracuse Lead Ordinance, Common Council Chambers, 3rd floor City Hall, 233 E. Washington St., Syracuse, most likely by Webex. To be announced.
Demonstrate solidarity with families affected by lead poisoning, and support the City of Syracuse Lead Abatement Ordinance (here) that aims to improve identification and mitigation of lead hazards, and to protect families from retaliation by landlords when they report hazards. Tue, Jun 23: Democratic presidential primary (rescheduled from April), NY-24 congressional primary, and state and local primaries will all take place today. Polls open 6am to 9pm.

Sun. July 12: CNY Solidarity Coalition meeting. 7-8pm, likely via Zoom. (Note change of time. In July and August meeting times will alternate between 3-4 pm and 7-8 pm)
