CNY Solidarity members and supporters:
Please find below the weekly ACTION ALERTS from Indivisible NY24. Our main focus nationally remains on democracy reform, including S. 1: For the People Act (a big package of voting rights, gerrymandering, campaign finance, and ethics reforms), H.R. 4: John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act (which would restore provisions of the 1965 VRA that have been gutted by Supreme Court), and H.R. 51: Washington, DC Admission Act (which would finally grant statehood and full congressional representation to D.C. residents).
These measures will only pass if the Democrats change the Senate rules to get rid of the filibuster, a Jim Crow relic at odds with the majority rule the Framers envisioned.
At the state level, most of our attention through April 1 must focus on the budget process and the Invest in Our New York campaign. On this front, note the Monday action below, or click here for more ways to get involved.
And now, on to the week’s actions.

The latter list includes more frequent action alerts and information about local electoral campaigns supported by Indivisible.
