CNY Solidarity members and supporters:
Last week we learned that President Trump’s Postmaster General, Louis DeJoy, has been deliberately sabotaging the US Postal Service. He ripped out postal sorting equipment, removed mailboxes from city streets, displaced experienced successful managers from their posts, and instituted work rules causing delays. This sabotage has severely slowed mail service in many parts of the country, delaying delivery of prescription drugs, bills, and rent payments. On Friday, the postal service told 46 states and the District of Columbia that it cannot guarantee that all ballots cast by mail will arrive in time to be counted for the November election.
President Trump has indicated that he opposes funding the postal service because he wants to thwart absentee balloting, which state laws authorize for about 75% of registered voters nationwide. We need to rescue the postal service.
Please find below the weekly ACTION ALERTS from Indivisible NY24 and our legislative action teams.

You’re receiving this email because you’re subscribed to the CNY Solidarity Coalition announcements list. This is a low-volume list (typically no more than 4-6 messages per week), which now has more than 2,000 subscribers. We also maintain higher-volume listservs as venues for discussion of general Coalition-wide issues (discussion-cnysolidarity), key state and local action team organizing priorities (stateleg-cnysolidarity), and key Indivisible NY24 organizing priorities (IndivisibleNY24). The latter list includes more frequent action alerts and information about local electoral campaigns supported by Indivisible. If you’d like to be added to any of these lists, please reply to me and let me know which ones.
